The Edmontosaurus (dinosaur) lived around 70 million years ago. This dino was first discovered / excavated in the state of Alberta (USA) and was named after the capital of this state: Edmont. This dino had a length of approximately 12 and 15 meters. The weight was approximately 9000 kg. Based on the fossils found, it is suspected that this dinosaur occurred throughout the United States. It did have a preference for the coastal plain. Unlike many other dinosaurs, not only bones are found from the Edmontosaurus, but also skin impressions.
