The Titanosaurus is not really a famous dinosaur, but it was a very impressive dinosaur that you literally could not overlook (!). Or rather, a group of dinosaurs that include the Argentino dinosaur and Puertasaurus dinosaurs. The Titanosaurus lived around 145 – 66 million years ago in a period now known as the Cretaceous. This dinosaur is to date one of the heaviest animals that has ever walked the earth: it weighed 90 tons or 90000 kilograms (!). The Titanosaurus lived on all continents including Antarctica: fossils were found in New Zealand, the Gobi desert, Brazil and therefore Antarctica. The fossil eggshell fragments of this dinosaur that we sell in our fossil and mineral webshop are found in France.
