77 – 63 million years old
Dino eggs are fascinating relics from the past that give us an insight into the life of these prehistoric reptiles. Dinosaur eggs vary greatly in size depending on the species of dinosaur that laid them. Some eggs were small, no bigger than a hen’s egg, while others were huge, over a foot in diameter. Because of the size, but also because of the shape and surface structures, it is possible to distinguish between dino eggs of different species. The color could also tell something, but it is difficult to determine the exact color of dinosaur eggs. However, some studies have suggested that some eggs were blue-green in color, similar to modern emu eggs.
In our webshop, you can buy a dinosaur egg. Both small affordable piece of dino egg shells and (very occasionally) real egg(s).
