Iceage

2.58 – 0 million years old

In our webshop we sell fossils from (mainly) the last ice age. The current ice age, the Pliocene-Quaternary ice age, began around 2580000 years ago. Since then, the world has cycled ice formation with ice caps advancing and receding at 40,000 and 100,000 year time scales. The earth is currently in an interglacial (without ice) and the last ice age ended about 10,000 years ago. All that remains of the continental ice sheets are the Greenland, Antarctic ice sheets and smaller glaciers. In our webshop we sell fossils from this ice age, such as fossil mammoth teeth, fossil mammoth tusks, fossils from cows, fossils from (cave) bears and fossils from ice age horses.
