The Hadrosaurus is a herbivorous dinosaur that roamed the Earth during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 80 million years ago. This fascinating dinosaur lived in the region that is now present-day North America. Known for its duck-billed appearance, the Hadrosaurus was well adapted to a plant-based diet and was likely a social animal living in herds.

Unfortunately, the fossil remains of Hadrosaurus discovered so far are of relatively poor quality, which means that much about its appearance and behavior remains a mystery to paleontologists. Despite this, Hadrosaurus holds a special place in paleontological history, as it was one of the first dinosaurs to be scientifically described in North America.

Interestingly, the Hadrosaurus is the only dinosaur whose bones have also been found in the Netherlands, making it unique in the European fossil record.
